All the stunning locations along the Skellig Coast, Ballinskelligs with the old Castle and Abbey Ruins, Portmagee with its tiny fishing harbour, St. Finian´s Bay, sheltered by mountains and high cliffs, with dramatic sunsets behind the Skellig Rocks are sure locations for great photographs.

The Program
Friday Evening (arrival day):
Meet and greet and tips and hints regarding your camera equipment.
Saturday:
We will be taking photos from Dawn to Dusk to make the most of your time and follow the light on several locations throughout the day.
We will start the day at Ballinskelligs Abbey Ruins approx. half an hour before Sunrise, then have a break for breakfast.
After that we will explore Portmagee Harbour with its fishing boats for detail photography.
In the afternoon we´ll capture the dramatic Cliffs between Portmagee and St. Finian´s Bay and hopefully a sunset near the Skellig Rocks.
After dinner there is time for a review of the day and the pictures you took with a discussion and some help on photo editing.
Sunday:
After breakfast we´ll explore some of the archaeological highlights in the South Kerry Area, like Stone Forts and old Ecclesiastical Sites in and near Cahirciveen.
After lunch we´ll take a short walk up to Bray Head on Valentia Island and capture the sun rays on the Atlantic Ocean, the Skelligs and some dramatic cliffs.
We´ll finish the photoworkshop with a review and a drink in the Bridge Bar in Portmagee.
What you need and other workshop details:
Bring your usual camera equipment (digital or film and laptop if you want), a tripod is very useful (but I can lend you some if you are travelling here by plane you might not want to bring such bulky baggage).
As we´ll do some moderate walking to the photo locations sturdy shoes and some warm rain gear are quite helpful.
Cost per person for the workshop
(including teas and lunch on Saturday and Sunday and transport to photo locations)____________300.00 Euro
B&B, Travel Insurance and Travel to B&B in Portmagee are not included in the price. (If you do not want to hire a car, we can arrange a pick up from Kerry Airport or Killarney Train Station at an extra cost .)
